Toothpicks needed.

Not for my teeth but for my eyelids.  Not sure what is going on but I have been exhuasted for the past two weeks.  No matter how much sleep I get I am still very tired.  Not sure if it is allergies or just my lazy butt.  Probably a mixture of both.  I did get a lot of laundry done today and tried out my new Zumba game for the Xbox 360.  I think it is going to be fun and a crazy good workout.  Need to make sure that I use often.  So that is about it.  I need to make sure that I don't stop writing on this blog.  Would not be good if I quit now that I have gotten so far.  I do need to learn more and I need to make more time for that learning.  So with that said, I am heading off to bed.  No pictures tonight just my words.

I have been busy...

I have not had a day off in over 8 days and I have been working really hard with my daughter on her history fair project late into the nights then getting up at 4 am has made me a very cranky lady.  I took a 3 hour nap today an feel a little more like myself (less cranky lady). All that work really paid off, I am really happy with our results.  It was a project right up my ally, well I did convice Faith that it would be a good project idea. Along with her poster board with info on womens rights, we came up with the idea to do a scrapbook of a yound lady from the mid-1800's. Luckly I had all the scrapbook stuff (wink wink) So let me just post some pictures for all to see our hard work.  It really did make an impression with the teacher. Hoping she made into the fair.

I am hoping soon that my back gets back to normal. 

A day off tomorrow is really looking good.

Thankful

Just wanted to put it out there that I am a very thankful women.  Thankful for the wonderful man in my life that will actually sit down and scrapbook with me.  He has quite the job putting up with me but he sure does an amazing job at it.  Its a Friday night just got done making a mess at the table trying to make my layout with the Studio Calico kit got a good start but still have a lot to figure out.  Hubby made a very colorful and sweet layout of us.  Headed to bed for a long day at work tomorrow. Saturdays at Starbucks it should be fun.  RIGHT?

Alright enough gushy stuff.  Headed up to bed.  Should really plan a dinner for tomorrow night so we dont eat frozen pizza again.  Chicken should be good.

Not sure but it could be the sugar

Should have been a good day but it wasn't.  Not specifically a bad day just not a good day.  I planned on using my new scrapbooking kit from Studio Calico today but I worked on my Smash book instead.  Just didnt get into the creative mood while working on it and time went by fast.  Made a mess, then made dinner now grumpy and sitting on the couch.  Had a little more sugar than I should have I guess. Sugar is the enemy.  Wish I could control myself around it.  Took a few pictures with my phone today and I think I took some good ones with my camera at Faith's soccer game yesterday.

Pretty sure my hubby is annoyed that I am still up but I had to finish my post and my chocolate covered Jelly Beans (oops more sugar)  well at least I will be asleep if I am grumpy.  Going to try and control the amount I take in tomorrow.

How can you be bored?

Kind of a funky day for me at work this morning. Not sure if it is that lack of sleep from the weekend our just my frayed nerves.  What a weekend we had.  I closed the store on Friday night, stayed late because my night went so bad. Got up and opened the store on Saturday worked till around 11am then went to grocery came home cleaned house and prepped for the big Party.  So we had rice krispy treats of four different varieties, popcorn (not microwaved), hot chocolate with real melted milk chocolate kept warm in the crockpot. Cookie made the cake and it was delish.

I have done a few of the table cloth drawings and I love how they turn out. Hopefully one day I can make a quilt out of them. So it pretty much was a successfull weekend.  SOoooo when I got up this morning with still a few girls sleeping on the floor in the living room I left them a note to get things done around the house so I wounld not come home to a mess and this is how the note went..........

Thankfully they listened and I didn't have to shoot anyone. 

So off to bed for me for an early morning.

Feeling

Not sure how I am feeling, can't really put a finger on it.  Had a pretty good Faith birthday.  Took her to Starbucks for hot chocolate before school. Then put a pot roast in the crockpot for the birthday dinner.  Went to meeting at work, big changes coming to Starbucks tomorrow.  The blonde roast is rolling out tomorrow.  Should be interesting.  Went to the grocery store for a few things.  Baked some red velvet cupcakes (boxed). Mom came over for the birthday dinner and Faith had a few gifts to open.  Not a bad day just.......

Maybe I am feeling a little down because........

• My baby is getting so much older.
• I feel really fat today.
• The note in my fathers card for my birthday was very special and made me cry a little.
• Very worried about money.
• My feelings might be hurt by someone that should really not matter to me.

That is enough complaining for tonight.

The day after.....

Its the day after my birthday, one of my most memorable.  Over 1600 miles in the past 2 days, a special ops mission and a birthday.  Holy Moly what a weekend.  Would not have done it any other way.  I will leave that story for another day.  Because tomorrow is a very special day.

It is Faith's 14th birthday tomorrow.  She is getting so grown up and she is so beautiful.  Waking her up tomorrow with her one gift even if her Daddy already splurged and got her a really cool gift and gave it to her tonight early.  She was so excited to get her Penny board.  Pennyskateboards.com

Cooking her roast beef sandwiches and making it a special day but her big party will be next Sat.  hopefully it will go all as planned.  Lots and lots of  kids will be here and lots of plastic cups.  Pictures should follow.

Its a good morning.....

Starting of my morning with a question


What can I do differently today to gather up all the good things around me and enjoy the journey of my life?


Going to think about that today while I am at work. I will be back later.



*its now 10:30pm getting ready for bed I have an early morning.  It is going to be freezing here in the morning, first REAL cold of the season.  Not looking forward to my leather seats in that early maybe some morning fairy can start my car in the morning so it is nice and warm (hint hint).

Today WAS a good day and so will tomorrow be. 

New Year New..............

Words to live by right?  I went on Pinterest to find the most poignant quote that would start off my New Year blog post very inspiring.  That is what I found that spoke to most meaning to me.  I want to be happy in the next year, to do this I have much to do.  Who knew it would be so much work but so far lazy and unhappy is not working for me so much.  So here is some of that "make me happy" list.

• Weight loss (get back on track)
• Go back to school.
• Take more pictures
• Be more creative in all things.
• Be a resolute women. ( what a great book to start of the year)
• and so much more.........





 

 

So that is my New Year first 2012 blog post.  Oh yea I royally failed at cooking black eyed peas for luck.  I used ham hocks and now my house smells really bad like pigs feet.  So I guess this means we will be unlucky this year.  I truly hope not.  Its very strange for me to fail at something in the kitchen. Well it could only get better from here.
